Who We Are
Rain Family Medicine is a direct primary care (DPC) practice, an innovative and rising healthcare model that is accessible, personalized, and simplified.
In exchange for an affordable monthly membership fee, you receive direct access to primary care tailored specifically for you. Imagine having a doctor and a nutritionist who know you well, who you can call on directly when you need support, and have plenty of time to care for you.
Rain Family Medicine is excited to bring you a fusion of medical care and wellness support - it’s what makes us different from other DPCs and primary care offices. Dr. Rain is a board certified family physician who is passionate about wellness and whole health medicine. Luna Rain is a nutritionist, certified health coach, and yoga teacher with expertise in habit change, nutrition support, and mindfulness practices. At Rain Family Medicine, Dr. Rain and Luna work together so that our patients receive a truly integrative health experience.
Comprehensive Primary Care & Wellness

Personal communication with Dr. Rain and Luna
Same day or next day appointments for urgent needs
30-60 min appointments in a relaxing, peaceful space
Preventative visits such as yearly wellness check ups, pap smears, etc
Management of chronic conditions, including coordination with specialists
Minor procedures - skin biopsies, abscess drainage, EKG, nebulizer treatments, ear washes, IUD and contraceptive implant removals/insertions
Queer and sexual medicine
Integrated wellness and lifestyle support
1-on-1 sessions with Luna included in membership
Monthly group classes with topics in nutrition, movement, functional medicine, gut health, eating well on a budget, habit change, health at every size and age, and more!
Discounts on labs, imaging, and medicines
Membership Pricing
Ages 0-17: $85/month
Ages 18+: $135/month
Health Equity Grant Membership: For patients in need of financial assistance. We highly encourage BIPOC and LGBTQI+ folx to utilize this offering regardless of your current financial situation. Message us if interested. Read more about this offering and health equity.
One time enrollment fee: $200 per person 18 years or older, $300 for couples enrolling together, $100 for health equity members. Free for those <18 years old!
Insurance does not cover the membership fee - we work for you, not insurance companies or large institutions. Learn more about direct primary care and why Rain Family Medicine is excited be part of this growing healthcare movement. If you do carry insurance, it can still cover labs, imaging, medicines, and referrals. We do accept HSA and FSA cards for folks who have a high deductible plan. Is Rain Family Medicine right for me?
“I am healthy and don’t need to go to the doctor”
In the current healthcare system, most of the focus is around treating illness. At Rain Family Medicine, we will always be there for you if you get sick or hurt and we work proactively to optimize your health by keeping you free of preventable diseases and giving you tools to feel your best through nutrition and wellness support. It can be challenging to break out of the mindset of the insurance-based healthcare system, but just like maintaining your car and home, your health and wellbeing require regular care with the support of an attentive and compassionate care team that you trust.
“I regularly access medical care, but I already have insurance that covers primary care”
You probably spend lots of time, money, and energy getting access to healthcare. Imagine being able to get appointments with the same doctor when you need them. Imagine saving time and energy because you won’t be shuffled through a protocol or system, or need to tell your health story over and over again to different providers. Imagine saving money, because in the DPC model costs are transparent, there are no co-pays, and many of your needs can be handled by your primary care doctor. Your insurance can still cover labs, imaging, appointments with specialists, and emergencies. The difference here is that you have a relationship with a doctor of your own, and are in the driver’s seat of managing your health. At Rain Family Medicine your medical care also includes personalized attention from a nutritionist and wellness coach, because we believe your healthcare should include wellness care.

Maybe you are someone who likes to “operate outside of the system” and prides yourself on finding your own way in life. Or, you might be someone who is tired of factory line medicine. Direct primary care is a revolution in healthcare. In the DPC model, doctors are not incentivized nor do they have a vested interest in coding, billing, or ordering more things to increase revenue. A doctor in the DPC model has 300-500 patients compared to 1500-2500 patients in the mainstream medical system - this means Dr. Rain has time for you.
